Discover How to Measure for a 65 cm Seat

Counter seating goes wrong for one reason: the seat and the surface do not match. This stool measures 65 cm to the seat, the height built for kitchen islands and breakfast bars rather than tall bar counters. Measure from the floor to the underside of your worktop, then look for roughly a hand span of clearance above the seat; that gap is what lets knees pass under without pressing against the surface. If your counter stands noticeably higher than a standard kitchen unit, size up rather than making do.

Once the height is right, the rest of the design does its job. The backrest holds you upright at the counter, the seat is broad enough to sit sideways on when the conversation moves, and the solid ash legs in a walnut-coloured finish taper enough to slide neatly back under the overhang. The beige chenille cover keeps the whole piece quiet, so a run of stools does not visually shorten a small kitchen.

The large-structured, two-tone chenille is woven from recycled fibre supplied under the Global Recycled Standard, reducing virgin material use, and the finished textile meets OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 for safe production. The ash wood carries FSC 100% chain of custody certification from a responsibly managed source. For upkeep, hoover the cover regularly, treat spills quickly with a damp cloth and let the fabric dry naturally rather than using heat.
