Handmade in a natural fibre, and easy to keep
This is a handmade piece made from a traditional natural fabric, and that shows in the finish. The curve of the outline is worked by hand, so each rug carries its own tones and textures and no two silhouettes are precisely the same. Wool takes dye unevenly by nature, which is why a large area of a single colour still shows quiet movement across the surface instead of appearing flat.
Because wool is a natural material, the rug will shed a little during its first few weeks; hoovering lifts the loose fibres and the process soon stops. After that the rug asks for very little. Give it a regular pass with the vacuum, blot rather than rub any spill, and lift it occasionally so the floor beneath can breathe. Placed in a hallway, a bedroom or beside a reading chair, the organic shape rug softens a corner that a rectangular piece would only square off.
