Placing and Caring for a Tall Storage Unit
This is an exclusive design created by the Kave Home team, and it is drawn to sit against a wall rather than float in a room, so plan it into an alcove, beside a doorway, or as a pair flanking a window. Because it is tall and relatively shallow, fixing it to the wall is sensible in any household with children, and it is essential if the floor is a springy timber deck. Level the piece with the adjustable feet first, then check the doors: even a small twist in the carcass shows immediately as an uneven gap along the closing edge.
The oak veneer surfaces want a dry cloth for dust and a barely damp one for marks, dried straight away. Never use an abrasive cream, which will cut through a veneer far faster than through solid timber, and keep alcohol-based cleaners off the finish. Position it out of direct sun where you can, since a natural finish on oak reacts to ultraviolet light more visibly than a stained one, and an evenly lit piece ages into a warmer tone without patches.
